Mental Health and Suicide is an important issue and it disproportionately affects members of the Armed Forces.
Moving Forces is a Greater Manchester based project aimed at helping armed forces personnel to stay active during and after transition to civilian life.
The project is open to armed forces veterans of any age, regardless of whether you're just leaving the forces or if you've been out for decades. If you've served, 'Moving Forces' is for you.
The programme aims to provide a wide range of activities whilst providing the opportunity to meet and chat with fellow veterans.
Armed Force charities like The Royal British Legion, Combat Stress and Walking with the Wounded have all pledged their support to the programme.
Joshua Littlehales spoke to Pete Carruthers about the Project.

The #Here4U campaign is aimed at helping people come to terms with anxiety and depression. It was launched by TV Star and Tameside Radio contributor Dan Westwood, best known for his roles in Coronation Street, Doctors and CBeebies and as a regular on Tameside Radio's Tameside Today programme hosted by Joshua Littlehales.
Dan is speaking up to raise awareness and to help remove the stigma that is often associated with mental health problems after experiencing panic attacks whilst on tour with CBeebies.
You can hear the interview below
He said: "Anxiety is quite rife in the performing industry. I was on tour with CBeebies and when I was on stage saying my lines, it felt like I wasn’t there. I want to speak out to others to get help and not be ashamed of the stigma that comes with mental health."
"Anyone can get involved by using the hashtag '#Here4u'. All you have to do is upload a short video pledge to be '#Here4u' for your family and friends".
Dan's campaign has attracted a whole host of people to support the campaign including celebrities Georgia Taylor & Kym Marsh from Coronation Street, TV Personality Debbie McGee, "Allo Allo" actress Vicki Michelle, Dave from TV chef duo the Hairy Bikers and many more.
Dan is planning on visiting local schools across Greater Manchester and in the North East to spread the message among young people after completing the upcoming UK tour of the Wizard of Oz, which will be stopping nearby at the Middleton Arena in late October.
